This ragging virus even through I have had my shots still has stopped us from traveling the way we use to. I loved doing Street Photography just happened to stumble on it one day with a photo I took. We have done many cruises and I have meet many interesting people in many places. I like taking natural photos of people when they have no idea I am doing it that’s the beauty of a long lens haha. But what I love the most about Street Photography is doing them in Black and White. I was so honored that I got to not only meet but to spend time with Clyde Butcher a famous B&W photographer in Ochopee, Florida where he has a huge gallery. He helped me to understand the importance of dodging and burning.

Very nice! I also much prefer capturing people being spontaneous and not posing.

Thank you I took these when I was still about to carry my Canon DSLR and my sneaky long lens to get the more natural expressions.

It was he was in his place that day. He took the time to walk me over to his photos and explain to me just what to look for when you dodge and burn. Then he showed me a raw photo he had taken in the swamps haha. He said, “If this was your photo what would you bring out and what would you darken some”? I looked it over and pointed to what I thought needed to be brought out and what could use a little backing off. To my surprise as I had only been doing photography for 2 years he said you have a good eye. He is the nicest man and he loves to share what all he knows a very down to earth man.

Very good set. I share your passion for street photography, it is my favorite genre. Never been to his gallery but have seen some of Clyde Butcher's work. A great photographer.
