Last week we were in the Adirondacks and I made a point of shooting film. In the examples below I was using a Nikon F3 set on aperture control. The film was Ektar 125. Processed at home and scanned on an Epson 800 flatbed scanner.

Beautiful set Erich. I think the last one is the prize of the set

Thank you. I tried to make that second shot really pop. I shot the scene with a digital camera and with my Nikon F3. I even waited for about a half an hour after I shot this photo to see if the sun would do me any more favors.
I think the first shot is lacking in color. I don't know exactly why that is, maybe someone who know a lot more than I do has some ideas.
The last shot posted is also my favorite. I just really like the scene and I think it came out great in film. I posted a very similar shot in FYC that I shot with the digital camera; but this one is the one that I like best.

That sounds like a lot of work but I guess it is a labor of love. The last is my favorite of these three but the first one is dramatic.

When you really like what your doing, then it is not so much like work. Thanks for taking a look. The last is my favorite as well.

I really like these. Who did the film processing?

What he said! The lake is glass smooth, I love the composition, and the reflection and you nailed the exposure.
The first one has color, lots of blue and a tinge of pastel pink in the cloud reflected in the water. Was it was taken in low light just before sunrise? The light is very cool (blue) at that time. Our eyes see color very differently from the camera, because the mind knows what color it’s supposed to be, but the camera just records the light as it is. And at that time of day it’s even more apparent.
Great pictures, I live North of the Adirondacks in a smalltown name Moira.
