Correcting tint in an image. (PS CC)

There are several methods given on the WEB yet the simplest is rarely mentioned.

► Create a photo filter layer.
► Select the adjustment. The default is on the mask
► Select color
► Click on the colored square
► Drag the color probe to select the color that is creating the tint. (make sure the probe is no larger than 9 and no smaller than 3)
► Make sure the 'Preserve luminosity' box is checked.
► Adjust density if needed.
► Click ok
► Change the blend mode as desired (I selected 'Screen in this instance)
► Adjust the opacity and fill layer if necessary.
You are done.

Context:
A tiny wasp landed on a paper next to me as I was at the computer.
I took a picture of it using a small LED light from the right side.

Result:
The result is less than perfect.
I cropped the image to a square and adjusted the tint.

After using the color filter to correct the tint. I did not adjust anything else.
