Suire's is an original and there's nothing like it- that I've seen. Of course it's not the building and business that elbows itself to distinction, it's the people and food and language, culture and society. I'm not part of that "family" but am fascinated to watch and listen to those that are. Should you find yourself in Loos-ana, south of La-fa-YET, take a side trip to Kap-laan; go there hungry and listen... you'll meet some great people... and tasty food
Unpretentious... with local art
Easy to read, large print menu-
Dessert menu on the left...
Hydration Station- Note Abita beer is adjacent to Yoohoo
Sandwiches and pies to go... both excellent
Local art yields to practicality
Behave yourself... listen... be nice... and clean your plate.
Good photos of a wonderful regional place! Few of us get to enjoy similar! Thanks!
I would really enjoy that place!
Great shot and well documented.
I'd like to get lunch there.
Looks like a great store!

It's a VERY local place... "first names" only- 'cept most folks have nicknames- You're not "family" until you get a nickname. I don't have a nickname. Thanks for popping in, quixdraw!!

I eat there even when not hungry... and hang around longer than I should, listening to shrimper talk, where crabs and oysters can be found, how rice and sugar crops are coming along, the crawfish outlook, plus domestic difficulties and complications... Yeah, it's a great place... Thanks for the touch-n-go Bushpilot!

The etouffee is tasty, and I like it alot, but shrimp and grits (sometimes is available but not on the menu- maybe after they repaint the building...) is high calorie dee-lish... Turtle sauce picante is perfect for in-between! Garlic bread all around! Hope you're hungry Curmudgeon!
