Why is the Christian Church in America dying? Check the internet -. Especially with this covid - there are a lot of internet posts about this - and concern that as the isolation is lifted - many will not return to church. The activity on this 'Christian Photography Group' is minimal compared to the others on 'theuglyhedgehog' - why? In the first ~ 300 years Christians spread over the whole Roman Empire but now?

This is a Photography SIG so here is a sunset photo of our local lakeshore park - as empty of people as the churches could be in a few years.

Sad, but true. Way too many life distractions/options, resulting in a lack of sustained interest, paving the way to the disability to see the need for God in our lives , the domino effect. Until the 'need' arises... like when a single domino gets removed! Pray for our people!

The Bible said there would be a great falling away. I do wish this section were more active. I hang out in the Attic and never miss the opportunity to preach the message of salvation
Nice photo 👍🏾

I think it is unquestioned that we, as Christians and as the church, are engaged in a spiritual battle of epic proportions. We have allowed God to be removed from our schools, government, the public square, our media and, unfortunately, our social interactions. And where God leaves, it doesn't take a genius to know who will gladly fill that void - the Prince of Lies. I pray every day for a revival of faith in our country, starting with each and every believer and expanding until Our Lord, once again, has His rightful place in our lives and in our world. Prayer, and more prayer...

Thank you for this post.
I am back at my congregation and most others there are too. As for me my excuse was that it was streamed live while the building was closed to open gathering during the scamdemic period. I got lazy and found it easy to sit in my underwear with a beer and watch it online. Once people started going back, I did too and realized how lazy I had become and found I lost the meaning to not forsaking the congregation as written in the scriptures.
It is a sad age we are in and heading more into world wide forsaking of the gospel.
Disturbing time. We believers need to stand up and not be ashamed to share Gods love and hope for his creation.

This is definitely a spiritual battle.
Lets not forget churches preaching a watered down Gospel not preaching repentance and some preaching there are many paths to God.
We as followers I believe should stand firmly on Gods Holy Word with kindness but uncompromising

You are so right my brother. The writings of Paul addressed all these issues in his time and now we need to stand up and be strong.

Bruce my brother you are so right.
I pray that if the situation ever arises that gives me the courage through His grace to stand no matter the cost. We have to lean in Him. Not by might not by power but by His Spirit

Soba…Why is your avator one of major defiance if you’re preaching salvation? Not being judgmental here but to me it is a dichotomy of 2 opposing forces. Preaching peace and salvation but fostering rebellion and discord

I did it to prove a point after being called an Uncle Tom for my conservative political beliefs.
But noted

Hi Soba1,

I suspect that the lack of people looking here is due to there not being much of interest for them to see. The churches losing attendance could be due to something similar - Too much religion and not enough love. Before Jesus went to the cross, in his last pep-talk He did not give a long 'To Do' list - he gave just one command. "John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." Do you see this in the Church today? In the next verse, Jesus added that this was the best possible witness: "35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples,".

Thanks for the complement on the photo. Here is another of Fenlan Falls (Ontario)

JimBart]Great photography

Thanks. God has created tremendous beauty all around us - all too often we are in too much of a hurry to enjoy it. Am in my mid 80's and have time to plan and wait for the scene to be what I want to take. This is another waterfall with a lot more water. Waited for Sunset to light the top of the surrounding trees.
