Not this tired topic again. The question is settled, and I don't feel like arguing the point again. Switching to Sony mirrorless three years ago was a game changer for me. If it isn't for you, that is fine. If you don't want to switch that is fine also.

Your can have whatever opinion you want and I will defend your right to that opinion, but be aware you are definitely in the minority in thinking Adams work is sub standard or out dated because of digital tech.

And the results of his work, bringing awareness of the beauty of the wilderness, to the people. Raising awareness of the need to preserve that beauty, the Sierra Club, other environmental movements, all results of his work, all speak for themselves.

You must have missed this:
"This of course is photography according to me, I don't even try to speak for the other 7,799,999,999 people on earth."

I've read 100's of posts referencing Adams great work to the point it's nauseating. I've only once before this made my personal opinion known. I'm not a fan, although I do like some of his quotes.

It is what it is.

That's fine. It still is annoying click bait.

And you're still letting it annoy you after 14 pages... Pretty amazing.
I usually don't get much past the headline if it annoys me.
14 pages of being annoyed is awesome...

Risky bet there. Steep odds. Maybe he would have cropped Moonrise correctly but I still got doubts. He used a proven tradesman’s practice to latch onto what works, and then “wash, rinse, repeat”.

You hafta admire his reliable ability to repeatedly deliver technical perfection, but that “gee whizz” factor wears thin pretty quickly. It’s just too superficial.

Acoarst, to be fair, large cameras are designed for making boring pictures. They’re basically tools of commerce.

Does this mean I can amend my head count? Do you have any idea how long it takes to count 8,000,000,000 heads?

This of course is photography according to me, I don't even try to speak for the other 7,799,999,998 people on earth.

Wheeew, that was harder than the first count.

Donating is a gift, not a loss. It just seems like it's better than letting things gather dust. Otherwise you might as well sell the stuff so somebody gets to use it.
