Delta Dawn, what is that v***s you have on?
Could it be a variant from days gone by?
And didn't I hear you say that the undertaker
was meeting you here today to take you
to God's mansion in the sky?
Get V******ted.

I personally got v******ted, but to each his own. If someone doesn't want it, that's their personal choice and I don't feel that I have any right to tell them otherwise. I don't judge them and they don't judge me.

Thanks, I was listening to that song on the radio yesterday and changed a few words.

For once I am in total agreement with Kraken.
AND, I recommend a booster 6 - 12 months after the initial 2 shot series.
So glad we all took the Small Pox and Polio v*****es years ago.

I judge them because the v***s is highly contagious. Only a tiny percent of people can't get the v*****e due to their own health issues. For the rest it's selfishness and ignorance.

If such a large stink was raised ≈60-65 years ago, how many people would have needlessly died from polio and small pox.

Highly contagious, often uncomfortable, sometimes serious and rarely fatal. There are other reasons besides selfishness and ignorance to not take it: if someone has survived the v***s, there is no need; for some there are religious reasons; for others there is the very real fear of taking a v*****e that has not been fully and completely tested and vetted.
Anyone who doesn't take the v*****e has only themselves to blame if they get sick. If they spread it to other unv******ted people, that was also the personal choice of those people. That may be inconsiderate but it is not selfish, and if they know the risks then neither is it ignorant.

Those v*****es were properly tested and vetted, unlike the C****a v*****e that was rushed through the process for political points. I am NOT saying the C****a v*****es is not effective nor am I saying it is dangerous; I am merely saying that it has not been through the same rigorous process as the other two you cite. Some people are afraid if it because of that.

But if you got it and died I'll bet you'd be really, really pissed.

The fear regarding "complete testing and vetting" could be alleviated in part by visiting people on ventilators or talking to someone who has long c***d (symptoms lasting months).
You seem to also be discounting the disruptive effect on our economy and lifestyles. Not just the "no mask, no entry" stuff, but the supply pipeline for a lot of goods we've always taken for granted (have you tried to buy a couch or upholstered chair this year?).
Regarding having "only themselves to blame if they get sick," are those people being turned away from hospitals?

Yea, they could have gone through normal channels and in a year or three, or five we would have had a "properly vetted" v*****e. Would have only lost a few more people until then.
It's not like research to accelerate the results hasn't progressed in the last 50 years.
Kinda like the Breast Cancer v*****e just about ready.
My first wife died from breast cancer when she was forty.
NOW they come out with a v*****e...... 25 years later.
I suppose it doesn't matter unless the lost one is close to you.

I was only referring to the fact that it is their own fault and they can't blame anyone else. I was not discussing the burden on the health care system, their families or anyone else. That is a whole other subject.
