Rose of Sharon Seed

I wanted to do something a bit different so I stuck a Size #000 mounting pin into a seed from the "Rose of Sharon" hibiscus growing along our fence line that I gathered in the fall. I thought that the fine hairs and the texture of the seed would make an interesting study.

For a matter of comparisons, the pin at the bottom left is 0.25mm in diameter.

Thanks, Kpmac. I collect odds and ends that I find and I keep them in a box for when the time to go through them strikes me.

Nice Sippy. That's one of the great things about macro. You never run out of new subjects as long as you use your imagination. Something you're clearly good at. Thanks for sharing.
