Like most other parts of the US we have our share of pickups that have never worked a day in their lives. Pristine beds, no scratches or brush burns but then occasionally...A truck that works for a living

Right on! The farthest off road most pickups have been is when the driver backs over the rose bed 'longside the driveway.

What a beautiful truck. If I am not mistaken it is also 4X4 as well. That would make one great hunting truck after being restored to its original beauty. Then I could start making my own historical marks on the body. An elk, deer and antelope would fit nicely in that bed. As my great nephew says often enough, Whee Doggie!!!

Did I mention, fine pictures of the beast?

Yep, if I was going to buy a used FWD truck I'd shop in Phoenix or San Diego. The odds are it would never been off the road.

Thanks for the complement.

You miss the point, it's a work truck. If it were senescent he would scream "I'm a blue collar work truck. I earned these honorable scars and dents through honest labor. Don't try to change me I am proud of what I am.

I used to have an old work truck, took me every where. I get a kick out of these kids that have shiny four wheeler with monster tires that have never seen a gravel road.

With respect I did not miss the point at all. I see perfectly the age and honest USE of the truck as a work truck. I get that point just fine. Actually it would be rather hard to miss. My additional and, in the same vein, point is I would love to have it restored to new and then put my own scars and dings on the truck.

I wish you well,

Dennis

Ah, now I understand. I did not mean to hurt feelings. I have the feeling that this truck is going to be worked to death and dumped in some desert wash. That seems to be what happens to old equipment out here.

Especially the brand new monster 4x4 trucks that cost $70,000 and are used to drive to work and back...
