I am used to seeing these guys being just a few mm across but this guy was huge, 1/2" or more.

I think that is a ground crab spider, Xysticus sp. They do go up on plants despite their name.

That would make sense, the bee shot was taken a couple of days ago, yesterday he was not on the flowers, today he is back. We have really large Wolfs here too.
