Yesterday my wife and I were at the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit in NYC.
Fantastic light and sound experience.
Well worth a trip to the Big Apple.

We saw it in Miami and it was spectacular!!!! Whenever I am in NYC, I must go to the Met and see Starry Night....my favorite painting of all!!!
There was a movie made a few years ago, using thousands of images painted in his style called "Loving Vincent" which was very enjoyable.

…you would never see “Starry Night” at the MET…you would have to go to MoMA for that…

When they showed it, it was from the Paris show and at that time did not know it would travel. It looks like it will be presented in only four cities here in the US and I feel lucky to live only an hour away from Philadelphia, one of those four cities. Has anyone else on here signed up to attend this? If not, you may want to check it out as it looks like one of those events that will be remembered for a lifetime.

I saw this about a month ago in San Francisco. It’s about a 20 minute show where you sit on the floor in the round and watch his images projected on the walls all around you. Very nice visual experience.

It looks like they added a lot more locations. Most likely due to it's popularity. I'm glad a lot more of our UHH members will be able to see this if they are interested.

I was lucky as the show opened in New York and I got a free pass. If you like Van Go you will certainly enjoy this show. Look forward to a great experience.

First thing I thought of was that you cut off your ear, not a good thing.

Maybe after the show -- it may inspire me!

Is it part of their permanent collection or is it on loan? I would like to see it in person as it is my, and my wife's favorite of his work. Philadelphia has a world class art museum which was made more famous because of their steps that Rocky ran up while training for his boxing matches. Unfortunately they have only a single painting of his -- Sunflowers. A very nice piece but it doesn't give the same feeling as Starry Night.
