I have an Epson xp-950 and I refill using Precision Colors ink. I've only metallic paper I've used is Red River Polar Gloss Metallic. I love the look for certain images including, surprisingly, B&W. The image almost seems to glow. However it's a personal thing. I suggest you try it. You will need to experiment to find the best icc profile that gives the most neutral prints. I printed a series of 8x10's of the "Test Image" (the one with gray scales, babies and strawberries) and found PC's icc profile for RR polar pearl metallic to give the most neutral prints (better than the RR icc profile).

I follow "JToolman" fb group and youtube videos. I took his advice and run Qimage to print 5x7 purge sheets every 3 days which helps keep my XP-950 clog free and ready to go. He has a high opinion of the XP-15000. I'm thinking that may be my next printer if I don't bite the bullet and go for a Canon or Epson 17x22 printer.

I have the Epson XP-960 and use metallic paper from RED RIVER and the results are awesome. Tried their sample pack and I was hooked. Color prints and BW are amazing! Whole new level with my photos.

Red River Polar Gloss Metallic 255 is Beautiful ! Do use soft cotton gloves to protect against finger prints and allow time to thoroughly dry. Really a nice "pop" for that metal effect.

Have an XP-15000 Expression and use Epson Metallic Photo Paper Glossy in 13x19. I like the result compared to their Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy. Seems to have more density range and the colors are just a bit more vibrant. I build profiles for all the papers I use with an X-rite i1 studio.

I use an Epson P800 printer. I love the 17 by 25 inch size I can print to. I do much of my big printing on Red River Polar Gloss Metallic paper. It's as close to the 'pop' of a true metal print as I have found. My problem with metal is that it feels a bit trendy to me and I can't do it at home. One of the things I like best about photography gone digital is the ability to do everything at home without smelling like chemicals. So I avoid metal prints and rely on my Red River paper.

Most prints for my walls are 11x17 and going to purchase the Red River Polar Gloss Metallic for my personal use, and thank you for your suggestion.

I've got a Canon Pro-100 printer with Precision Color Ink and use Red River Polar Metallic. Anything and everything I have printed on that paper turned out fantastic.

Last fall I moved from Dallas, TX to Durham, NC. One of the things I really hated to give up was being able to drive over to RRP and look at what they had on their closeout/bargain shelves. Used to be a spur of the moment drive at lunch. RRP was just close enough to my office that I could drive over there, make an impulse purchase (or two), and pick up a quick lunch on the way back to work.

Fortunately, over time I was able to build up a really good supply of RRP paper. But I still eagerly await their E-Mail messages and printing tips.
