Spent the weekend fishing and trying to take a few photos in 2-3 foot seas handheld using my Nikon D850 and Nikkor 28-300 tele zoom. A number of people are critical of the 28-300. I had no issues with it on this trip. Due to limited space on boat I could only take two lenses. Since I was near salt water I took my "sacrificial lamb" the 28-300.

Agree Bob! It seems to be one of the most maligned of the zoom lenses on the forum. I guess I like to go against the odds! LOL
