Can't Delete Software

I have Movavi Screen Recorder 21 which I use to record webinars, YouTube presentations, etc. and it isn't working the way it was. You can open it, click on what you want to record and it quits. Open it again and it says there are two running, close one. Also sometimes I get a Not Responding message and what I was working on is lost. There is an upgrade available but I can't install it either.

I contacted the company and was told to delete the program and install an update which they sent me. I've tried to do that through the Control Panel (Windows 10) and also through the Start Menu and all I get is the same thing when I'm working with the program. It comes up "Movavi Screen Recorder is already running. Please close the application and try again." Then there are two blocks: Try Again and Cancel. Only Cancel works.

Any suggestions?

<Ctrl><Alt><Delet> will bring up the Task Manager in Win10. Close (the apparently running in the background?) Movavi there, then uninstall.

Go to Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-delete), select your program that is running, and hit End Task.

Sometimes programs don't delete everything when uninstalling . Sometimes you have to double click on your C: drive , then click on Program Files (x86) and look for the name of the program or the company name for the program , and right click and click on delete . Do the same thing for Program Files , Tommy

I've had that happen with SyncBack. As Cany143 said, use Task Manager to stop it. I've been using Movavi Screen Recorder for years. Very nice.

I always use REVO Uninstaller free program, it will clean up the leftover mess that other uninstalls leave behind.
