Used to be called a Loaded Potato - a classic! Congrats on getting gas , iron is the best. If you haven't tried Induction, it works very well with iron and free standing burners are quite good. You can have one at home for comparatively little.

I share your desire to have a gas stove in your home. I’ve never had one either. I still use my cast iron pan but it really needs a flame. Beautiful presentation on the stuffed potato. Your food photography always makes me hungry which the best ones always do.

Good fixings Yorkie. I love both cast iron and gas stoves I have always been lucky to have gas in my homes in NY and NC. Several years ago someone talked me into carbon steel pans, Paella and several size fry pans it’s a toss up up for me which are better cast or carbon. Keep cookin

Beautiful image and presentation. Potato looks amazing! Great job!

Love to cook in cast iron but for medical reason I have to stay away from it. Food cook in cast iron increase your iron levels in you body.

I was surprised when I found it.

Thank you so much Tito14!! Window Light can take most of the credit!! Hahahaha!!

As to the Iron in the body thing... I looked that up years ago, asked my doctor (my blood tests are always Very Good!), and looked it up again after reading your post... so with that, I will let others make their own decision. If your Doc says "knock off the Iron" I'd say that's good enough!

I did find this interesting though:...........

What are the symptoms of too much iron?

Symptoms: My answers in parenthesis...
1. tiredness or fatigue. (OK, I'm freakin' old.. So I got that one!)
2. weakness. (Ok, ok! I get it! I've always been a weakling.... I couldn't even carry my new wife, 39 years ago, across the threshold! Damn it...Shut up about it already.... Sheeesh!!)
3. weight loss. (Noap!! I've been 155-160 since High School.)
4. abdominal pain. (Noap! Nothing a little candied Ginger won't take care of! And only rarely.)
5. high blood sugar levels. (Noap! Doc blood tests are amazingly good across the board!)
6. hyperpigmentation, or the skin turning a bronze color. (Well, ya' got me there. Oh, Wait! It's just a tan from living in Arizona! Whew!!)
7. a loss of libido, or sex drive. (OH HELLLL No! My Wife wishes that!!)
8. in males, reduction in the size of the testicles. (See answer for #7)

Gotta' just luv Google!!
