Though the forms have been 'abstracted' the colors are actual and true. Yesterday evening's view from my back deck.

Great view from your deck. Image is superb. Am I invited over?

Sure, Stan. I'll supply the ice and the 8oz cut crystal glasses.

Wonderful view, Jim! Do you allow the beasties on the deck?

No, but the beasties allow me to go out on the deck. Grudgingly.

I don't know. I tend to be pretty intolerable.

But I'll listen to almost anything.

Haha. Yeah, I lapse into intolerance myself on occasion. Let's see how it goes here.

I cropped your photo with the object of visual balance. Notice a general match of the graphic shaping of the sky and the foreground after cropping. The main subject otherwise remains untouched.

The brush areas at each side nicely frame the photo. They also give a sense of perspective.

Your photo follows another concept of visual weighting, with the bottom area darker or stronger as an anchor or a base.

That's all I have here.

Whoa, Jeez! Blasphemy! A shiv to the spleen! Most unkind indeed!

Not that I disagree with your crop as such, even if this poor maligned image is now slightly top heavy....

If only --IF ONLY!-- you'd excised 1/8th of a millimeter less from the bottom, I might've agreed, AV. Instead, here I am, left blooded and dying on the floor. Murder most foul.

Intolerable!!!

Thanks, though.

Haha. I meant well. Thankfully, the power of adjustment lies with you. Yes, a millimeter this way or that can make a crucial difference in perception. May I say we've had an adult dialog on this sensitive subject?

It was reported that his last, dying, words were: "you may say anything you like................."
