On a recent post I made of an iris flower image, the idea was advanced to try flipping the image to achieve a different emotional impact. I tried it, and it worked on that image for me. So....

Here, I have a preference as to which image I feel has the most impact and interest, but I would like to hear from you all as to which you prefer, and why. Or, if you feel there's no real difference, please let me know that, too! Thanks for taking the time to help me on this little query...

I studied both images. They rank equally in my evolution. They are both excellent.

Just a thought, ask if they are right or left handed. I slightly prefer #1, right handed, can't think of another reason.

I'm going with #2.
It may be because we read from left to right but the lighter colored roof attracts my attention first in the image and I naturally read over the image left to right.

I also prefer #1, but I looked at it first. Maybe that swayed my opinion, don’t know.
Either way it’s a nice relaxed looking shot.

I guess that would depend on whether you want the sign on the roof to read "hcuoP liaM" or "Mail Pouch"?

For some reason #2 seems right for my eyes. Nice shots!

Either one is nice but would be nicer in color

I prefer the first.

The "flow" of the roof sloping downward to the right.

The first one for me.

And to tramsey who always thinks black and white images would look better in color...you can't possibly know that.

Photo 1: My eye goes to the barn first
Photo 2: My eye goes to the white horse first.
My preference is #2

A really nice, balanced black and white that works equally well in both versions.

#1, why? I am not 100% sure but this image scans better looking from left to right which is the way we write and read English and following the lines of the barn etc. they go high left to low right which seems a natural flow to follow. The other when scanning left to right you are going from low to high following the lines - like you are climbing against the flow. So #1 just has a better "feel" to me.
