Nicely done and hope you have more to show from the rookery. Also how far away were the birds?

Hi Joe,
Yes many more. Way too many more. I'm needing to be very picky about what I keep to process.it will take a while for me to get through them all.

I started off shooting from an upper area that places a photographer about eye high with the highest birds. In that case I'm 30' to 50' away.
After the first hour we went down to ground level and for some shotsmy 400mm was too much, a rare problem. But a great one.
I have some shots, not shared yet, where my subject is 8 -10' from my lens.
I mostly worked off a tripod.
Because of the bright morning sun and the heavy shade it was a constant challenge to find correct exposure. But for most birds I had time to think about my shoots. A very nice experiance
