Beautiful image. We’ll be in the smokies in September. Care to share your location for this shot?

Where will you be staying when you come?
We’ll will be near Maggie Valley for one week.
Thanks for the comment!
I was staying in the Maggie Valley area so it was close by. Not sure exactly it was- It was taken a couple years ago.

So, you should be able to pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway right there at Maggie Valley, I have never been west of Maggie Valley on the Parkway, but if you head east towards Asheville you will find plenty of opportunities to get a shot like this, in fact there is one overlook that you can get a 180 degree view as the sun sets. There are a few interesting spots along Hwy 215 both north and south of the parkway, I highly recommend Mill Shoals, and French Broad Falls on 215, very easy hike to both of the waterfalls there, I also really like Sunburst falls. Living Waters is a ministry that owns the property that Mill Shoals and French Broad Falls are located on but they allow the public to use their trails, it is posted as private property but they allow the public to walk the trails, it is south of the parkway on 215 and Sunburst is north of the parkway on 215 Don't miss the third waterfall on the ministry property, it is only about a 1/4 mile hike on a very easy and improved trail.

Very nice picture. Is there a specific mile marker or location that you used to take this picture??
Great capture. Beautifully done.
Beautiful image, tradio. Looks like 12-15 layers.
