Well done shots. Peony buds are somewhat unique. I didn’t know there was such a thing as peony bugs.

Thank you! They aren't specifically Peony Bugs - the buds exude sweet stuff which attracts all sorts of insects. Lots of cross messages about why, and what it does. Apparently the bugs have no role in the flowers opening. Go figure, you'd think is was some symbiotic thing, but apparently not.
