when I should be doing something else! I thought the first on was striking in download. I really like it. The second has a bit of a grunge feel. I like it but not as much.

Converted to B&W using Topaz Adjust ai.

Interesting, I think I like the yellow one best.

I also like them both, Carol, but prefer the color one. With few exceptions, I’m usually drawn to flower and bird shots in color. Either way, yours are both very well done.

On another note, we spend most of our life doing things that need to be done. I think there comes a point where we’ve earned the right to do the things we want to do.

Both beautifully done, Carol. Downloads are fabulous, can't pick one over the other.

Hard call, Carol. Maybe if I looked at the color version first, it might have grabbed me more but that b&w image is so striking! Beautiful form, so dramatic!

I wasn’t madly in love with either one, Jack. I rather like the simplicity of the BW. I liked the yellow one when I did it but wasn’t so sure later. Like I said, I killed some time!

John, I have always preferred flowers in color. In fact I have not been a big fan of most B&W. However, here lately I’ve taken more of a liking to it and am enjoying some experimentation.

I so agree with your attitude. I always had difficult jobs and worked long hours and was on call most all the time. When I retired I didn’t know how I would adjust to it. Let me tell you, it has been great - no regrets and no guilt!

Thank you, Carlysue. I think the color version I posted in the Gallery is prettier than this color treatment. I liked this one when I did it but not so much now. I thought the B&W was striking!.

Thank you, Mike. Unfortunately, keeping really busy makes time fly and I never have enough of it to try all the things I want to try.

Seems you are getting pretty good with your B/W flower shots.

Thank you, Frank. In reality I am very much an amateur.
