Lightroom problem

I am getting the message: the lightroom catalog can not be opened because another application already has it opened.
I have closed the application and turned the computer off several times butI still get the same message. All my 2021 photos are in this catalog.
Any suggestions how to fix?

Go into your LR folder where the LRCAT file is located, and find and delete file = "Lightroom Catalog.lrcat.lock"
If deleting this "lock" file doesn't resolve the issue when you then start LR, you probably should contact Adobe technical support.

Same thing has happened to a lot of us. Paul has the 99.5% 'fix' for that issue, though.
