I picked this image of someone dear to me as a suitable subject for conversion to B/W. My personal taste regarding B/W photography many not be shared by everyone, but individual taste is a freedom all of us enjoy. . . .
Kip, this is beautifully composed and framed and an excellent choice for B&W. She is lovely.
Mesmerizing, imaginative!
Nicely done. No question on who is the main subject in this photo.
The angular designs on the hat contrasted with the roundness and curves of her face and the hat itself really create an impact!! And I think b&w makes a strong and effective statement here. well done!
Thank you

Perhaps I should give B/W a better chance in future. But I will probably never be a true convert to B/W. . . . .

Kip, you don't have to be a convert but thank you for sharing this lovely example here. You had a good eye for what would be excellent in B&W.

Kip, I agree with your choice to try black and white here. Sometimes an image just demands it.
