Frame and mat from Topaz Studio 2. They offer a lot of sliders for tweaking colors, textures, size and more.
I accidentally discovered I could get the software free because of my "legacy" purchases. More info
here.
Added a bit of Nik Color Efex. More news that may be of interest: Nik Collection is on sale through June 30 for $99. The newest version was released earlier this week. It works fairly well with Affinity and the M1 Mac, though I've found one or two bugs already (the unsupported 2012 version won't even install
).
Go to
https://nikcollection.dxo.com/ for a 30-day free trial.
And, finally, a dab of Topaz Simplify watercolor (another discovery: my old Simplify works great on my new M1 Mac!).

Very nicely captured and processed, Linda. The colors and background work very well together.

Nice work. The bugs keep you from doing what you want?
Very nice, Linda- like all the angles and how they balance- I suspect, had your timberdoodle a string out the top of its head and dangled from the ceiling, it’d make a serviceable mobile. Colors and tones are well balanced, too! Good job!
Glad you enjoyed, thanks!

Thank you very much, Will. There is a color picker tool to aid with that

Thanks much. Here's what I found so far:
HDR module doesn't fit my screen and resolution choice.
Silver Efex sometimes exits without applying the filter.
Perspective Efex doesn't work within Affinity (that is documented and explained somewhere; I forget where I read it), but can be used as standalone.

I used Silver Efex 2 or 3 times this morning without issue. HDR I will be unlikely to use very often. It never worked with PS Elements, except as stand-alone. I would love for all be perfect, but will likely purchase at the $99 price anyway. I have used Color Efex and Silver Efex extensively in the past (with PS Elements in Windows) and love them

Timberdoodle - love it!
Good to see you, Stephen. Hope life is treating you OK. Appreciate your time and interest in this thread 🤗
I like this, Linda. Funny, when I first saw it I thought it might be a copper tooling. I did some pictures in copper years ago and somehow, this had the same feeling. I really like your processing choices.
Clean composition. Glad you're getting along with your new mac. 🙄

Oh my, Google Images has some beautiful copper tooling examples! I can see where the
colors of mine are similar
Thanks for your comments, Carol!
Delighted you enjoyed, John - thanks!
