Definitely a talented photographer who understands the use of light.

Yes. And as we all know "lighting" is probably one of the most important ingredients in good photography.

More like a Goddess of light. She controls it rather than capturing it.

She surely is a Goddess of light and also composition. Yes, a Thomas Kincaid of photography.
I was somewhat surprised at the number of Christmas photos. I don’t think of Russia as a place to celebrate Christmas unless it is as a holiday of returning to longer daylight hours as the year proceeds. Regardless, her photos are stunning.

I agree with you and your thoughts of her work.

Mystical!....just downright Mystical!

She plans....she creates....she's in control.

She doesn't let photo gear control her.
(like is does me)

Ken, I agree with you about her controlling the photos. On location and in PP.

While I agree with what you say, I always wonder with shots like this, how much is Photoshop. They are beauties though.

When viewing photographs from a film photographer do you wonder how much of it is darkroom work?

Interesting question but working with the image to improve them has been in use since the beginning of photography. IMO being creative in all phases of photography is important. It appears the Russian photographer has creative knowledge in all areas of photography, and puts them to use, including the selection of her subjects. Seeing the image of the old man with the long facial hair reminds me of my family gatherings when I was a kid in the old country. Her images are excellent.
