The standard in microscopy is to collect images of large ciliates with interesting internal features. Well this mudpuddle increasingly frustrated that. But I realized that I was ignoring the vast array of very small life forms that I could see with some adjustments of the light and depth of field. These bacterial forms, algae forms, and small flagellates are a whole different story.
