Although raining and cloudy, I went to my niece's track meet
to shoot some pole vaulting. They toned it down a bit with
the wet equipment, but very fun to shoot. These are such
fun events and with Covid restrictions letting up here
we are really enjoying them.
Shot with the D500 and the Tamron G2 70-200,
auto iso, f4 at 1/1000 shutter speed or so.

These are Great shots skylark. Please post more. I love track and field events. I wanted to maybe shoot some regionals this week but looks like rain is going to kill that idea. The Championships are 28th/29th. I will be shooting Softball Champ games the 28th and Soccer Champ games the 29th. Hopefully the rain will stay away long enough to get all those games in. Very nice. You can see the load placed on the shaft of the pole vaulters pole. Much the same physics discussed with the flex of the tennis racket in a earlier posting.
