The only place where they seem to be available now is Amazon. Does anyone have a trusted source for an in stock camera?

Did you look at KEH or MPB? The EOS 7D II was released in 2014. Find a used model, don't pay a premium in new money for a new copy of a rather old camera.

Have you considered the 90D instead?

If you could tolerate a used body, Google it. There are plenty $600-$800 vs $1800 new

It looks like it has been discontinued or will be discontinued soon. in November this model will be seven years old. If you want something new consider the Canon 90D.

B&H in nyc has it on their website for 1399. Those guys are excellent. I only buy from them or adorama. And yes, i bought my 7dm2 from them and i love it.

If you are going to spend $1800 you might as well get the new mirrorless camera.

Unfortunately, Canon USA no longer even lists refurbished 7DII on their website. You can get 90D, 80D, 77D and lots of other models (35 choices, in fact)... but 7DII is not one of them.

Used is probably going to be the only option. Keep in mind that 7DII is rated to be able to do 200,000 shutter actuations (compared to 90D rated to do 120K and 80D with 100K).

If it would have been a couple weeks sooner - I let mine go for a prayer to Adorama.

Have you checked the Canon website for a refurbished one?

The 7d2 isn't listed in the Canon online store in any form (new or refurb).
