Not a very exciting up-date I'm afraid as the restoration is a long term thing and obvious progress is not always easy to see.

Good to see you guys putting weight behind this project. We did one in WA some years back (Duyfken - "Little Dove" - first European ship to reach Australia) but the WA Government pulled the funding and now the ship is in the Maritime Museum in Sydney. I wasn't around in the Sixteenth Century to photograph Duyfken, but here's the illustration I've done for my next book. (Sorry, seem to have attached the attachment a few times - not very good at this hi-tech stuff!)

Ron, I have to take exception with your comment. This is an exciting update. Yes, the progress is slow and tedious but it is still going on and your photos document it for posterity. I really enjoyed the documents you provided as well. Very interesting reading.
