I have this lens attached to my D5oo most of the time. It takes the tc 1.4e well also. Super fun when on a gimbal in the woods shooting owls. F4 comes in handy

It is heavy but I mainly use mine for bif off a tripod with a gimbal head. I shoot in the woods a lot and occasionally hand hold it but with the D5oo attached just for a shot or few. Lol also I rest it against a tree or whatever. It is heavy but I love it. I gave my wife my Sigma 150-600C. It performs about the same with the teleconverter. Maybe just a tad softer.

Thanks for your extra explanation. I used to hand holding for my BIF. I think I’m going to go in the 500pf f5.6 direction. I’m sure you’ll sell it, since it is such a nice lens.
