Are you sure that is a street performer in that last photo of this second group. Looks like somebody being attacked by the mob. A Nazi collaborator maybe?
Fabulous photos. I have many from my father's Army years during WWII.
I'm glad you liked them. They're a real look at history. I thought there was a limit to how many I could post at once, so I spread them out. Admin combined them.
Berlin in ruins looks a lot like Portland, OR today.
For the photographers, notice the image of Sam Jaffe, he is sporting a Leica camera (perhaps a IIIc) around his neck in it's destitute leather folding case. I find it fascinating that in almost every film the person holding a camera is holding or shooting a Leica camera.
