I submitted this earlier this morning and then was off for the day. I thought I had added the photograph but apparently not or at least it is not there. Let me try again please.

I took this photograph with a Leica M10 and a 50mm Summicron f2 lens. I expected just a sort of plain photo but I really like this photo for the muted colors and the composition. But I am interested in what you think of the photo. All comments are welcome.

Interesting shot, Dennis. Looking at the download you apparently had a very shallow DOF. That made the background very abstract while the center of the dandelion is relatively sharp. Nice effect!

I did indeed have a shallow depth of field and was laying on my belly with grass in the background.

Thanks for your comment.

I love the dandelion and the background. It's a shame that the lightest part of the dandelion is the lower 2/3rds of the stem. My eye was drawn right to that and then led off the bottom of the frame (away from the flowering part). I'm sure that can be fixed in post if desired but it is your image, not mine, and it is captivating as is.

I like the shot but I would like to see the dandelion seeds and parachutes must brighter.

Ouch, you spent a few thousand on that lens which doesn't do your shot justice. It's leaving a weird bokeh in the background which isn't pleasing to the eye. You need a micro lens to better attempt this shot

Well actually I did not spend a few thousand on that lens or on any of a number of other lenses I have. I am not sure where that information came from. Sorry you do not like the bokeh. I do appreciate you taking a look and commenting though.
