Clouds floating through but still a Moon sliver visible from time to time...

All images shot with a Sony A7R III and FE200-600mm zoom, tripod mounted, 1/100sec @ ISO12800

Enjoy!

P.S.: Using ISO12800 primarily to see how the camera performed at a high ISO

And the clouds just add to the over all image.
Very nice!

Clouds do much for any other form of astrophotography. The last time I fired up my observatory was back in Nov. '20...

I knew it has been a while...
I'm taking a sort of break right now.
I have an upcoming surgery, so expect to be laid back for a bit.
Doc sez I won't be able to lift more than a milk jug in each hand.
So around half of my main mount column.

Right....
I'm not average.

I wish I could do a dome. The wife is suggesting a building of sorts.
Mostly so my "stuff" isn't occupying space in the corner of her dinning room.
We shall see what grows from that seed....
I've been eyeballing domes. And thinking about a roll off that goes over the pool equipment when opened.
That way I wouldn't be carrying heavy chit around.

I knew it has been a while... br I'm taking a sort... (show quote)

Operations are NOT great! But I've had a few and survived.

Best of luck with yours
