We have those birds here to, kinda of a nuisance. A few days/weeks ago I was walking on the beach at South Padre and had treat in my hand. One of those buggers swooped down and stole it. But he had to fight the rest of the flock off for it. He didn't get all of it, thanks to his buddies.

Good shot Erik but it could be worse,over here the Gulls snatch your fish and chips whilst you strolling along then laugh at you as well.

Thanks kp. Both you and Timothy believe this to be a tern. I reinvestigated the ID on this bird and am 90% sure it is a laughing gull. Terns don't have the white eyelids nor the slightly turned down upper beak and this bird was much bigger than a tern. vz
