Dry Pastels
I love dry pastels. Nice lights and shadows on the trees. Thank you for posting. If you have more, please bring them on.
Nice photo. Looks real. Could it be models?

It IS photography if you take a picture of it, so this should be the right place.
A UHH member asked to see more of my artwork here, so I thought I might start a thread for all of us to share. Anyone who draws, paints, sculpts, does woodworking, anything you make that you'd like to show here, PLEASE do.
I'll start it with a picture I painted a while back. I put it on my auction site on FB and it sold within 10 seconds of posting it. OOPS, I didn't mean to put it on with the sold stamp on it. I don't guess it matters.

This is mine, painting model figure busts.
I'd almost forgotten this thread. L ove to see all the photography but I also love to see other talents that the hoggers do. I know there are more artists, woodworkers, quilters, Pencil artists, pen and ink artists, wood carvers, wood burners, stained glass artists and a lot more out there. Post your beauties please.
I also have done paintings of horses.
I had horses many years ago. I did these on 3 x 4 Masonite.

Thanks for posting these. Nice paintings. I like painting on masonite at times too.
Amtrain,
Is this a model? Nice! Thanks for adding it.
Wow!!! You do fantastic art. For the other readers, and illustration of how I use the color of the Masonite I am Attaching more. I first 'seal' the Masonite before painting on it, and let the natural color show when appropriate.
The last sketch was done for a second painting.
I used to do a bit of pastel art. I have used oil pastels, hard pastels, and soft pastels. To create different effects I have brushed over the pastels with oil paint thinner and with alcohol. It works over this finished painting or during the pastel painting.

I like pastels. I have used oil pastels and chalk pastels, colored pencil, acrylics, oils, watercolors and alkyds. Many times I use wall paint (brother-in-law owns a paint store). Wall paint is nothing but acrylics only a lot cheaper. I had 77 horses at one time so no shortage of models.
