As SoHillGuy just mentioned, Sawdust is a factor. some vac hookup will really please you, and they have the power boxes that turn on the vac when router is switched on.

Yep, routers make a LOT of dust. I noticed a hole for what appears to be a dust collector hose in the back of the fence (just needs a plastic fitting with a flange), and Jerry may find out he’d like one to evacuate the dust from under the router in the center compartment as well - I use both.

I always built my own table out of scrap plywood for the legs and table top.

I get a kick out a lot of guys on YouTube. "I used some scrap wood I had lying around the shop." And they show huge pieces of beautiful lumber. My scrap wood is truly scrap, but not a bit goes to waste. When it gets too small to use, it goes into the wood stove.

Yes, and it fits my shop vac hose. The box underneath will be sealed, and I'll vacuum that out separately, when necessary. I didn't want to bother with two vacuum connections. My cyclone attachment does an amazing job of keeping the shop vac filter clean.

I'm thinking about getting one of these.
