I suggest that you take your own admonishment for yourself as well.

I dislike dealing with trolls who offer nothing but snarky comments so I will spare you a reply. Let's just let it go at that.

I see lots of people with dogs at the grocery store or the pharmacy. I ask them if their dog is a service dog and they get offended.so I proceed to tell them that if their dog is not a service dog ,then they must be service humans and they get more offended .

While I would have no problem with little doggies in a cart, I have complained locally and to the national HQ of Home Depot about their policy of letting dogs into the store. I have had dogs my entire adult life, and NEVER have they requested to go shopping at HD with me, and never had I thought they would appreciate it all that much. At my local HD I have had to go around dried dog poop on the floor, had to turn around and choose a different aisle due to the presence of two large pit bulls in the aisle I wanted to go down, and one time a woman was walking a huge dog, unleashed, right in front of the appliances when it squatted and let loose a huge flood of doggy diarrhea! Not a pleasant site OR smell! I wonder what poor schmuck had to clean THAT up! It may have been his last day at Home Depot!

I would hope the staff at that HD brought a mop and a bucket of water and handed the mop to the dog owner.

I wish people WOULD keep their toddlers "on a leash". They were called reigns in my day.(SP?) I shudder when I see a baby heading for the escalator, and mama busy socializing.

I'd prefer a bungie cord. If the kids falls off something, he'll snap right back.

I'm glad your daughter has had a successful life and career but with your obvious lack of a sense of humor I hope she was happy as a child. I've only had one child, an inquisitive, active, intelligent, and extremely happy son who was never harnessed or leashed to keep him under control. We always knew where he was and what he was up to. I now have two beautiful, inquisitive, active, intelligent, and extremely happy twin granddaughters who have never been on a harness or leash either. I'm sorry you had to control yours the way you did. Actually I'm sorry for your inquisitive daughter, not you. I know a lot of parents resort to this method of control. BTW, not that it makes any difference, but my son has 2 masters (English and Journalism) and his wife is an attorney. Congratulations on your daughter's pending retirement.

I would suggest that you work on improving your sense of humor and not worry about mine.
