in North Carolina. Daughter-in-law and I had to go up this 1 1/2 mile, ROUGH, winding, one lane trail to reach our destination. Saw this along the way and just had to shoot it.

Nice catch,
that rough road you had to travel, lately it could be any road in N.C. as they are all rough anymore.
My son recently hit a pot hole on I77, $9000 worth of damage to his car.

Very nice image!!! Jo
That trail looks like a super highway compared to a lot of our roads here.

Thanks Tom. This little road was uphill all the way and full of pot holes. There were places where there was barely enough room for one car and only 2 small places in the whole road where 2 cars could get pass.

Thank you. I hope your roads are a little wider. If we had met another car, one of us would have had to back up a lonnnnng way!

The county I live in don't have a big tax base, so the secondary roads suffer there are at least a dozen within a few mile of my home like your road and mostly loose gravel and a lot of low water bridges. I'M not complaining just letting you know you're not alone.
The main problem on these road is there are a lot of people that just don't know how wide their car really is, they think they are driving the Queen Mary

Well, the road in my picture is in North Carolina but where I live in Alabama, the city streets are all bad and not being repaired. I guess it could be worse.

Looks like the entrance to Bear Den Campground off the Parkway near Grandfather Mountain.
