Switch to electronic cigs...you can control the amount of nicotine, and gradually keep cutting it back.
I still use the e-cig one occasion just to "satisfy" that "hand to mouth" action we're accustomed to, but I have been at 0mg nicotine for several years.
After the discovery of two aortic aneurysms and one heart attack, all caused by smoking, it was well PAST time to quit.
As Arnold Swartzenagger (sp?) says "You can do dis'!"
