I'll be selling the RX100 shortly, and I expect that people will want to know shutter count.

Can anyone tell me please how to find that on this camera?

Thanks...

You could upload a photo to Camerashuttercount.com ....it should show you the shutter count.

Will this work for the RX100 VII ? I don't see it listed.

I just tried it and it doesn't work for mine.

I haven't tried it yet, but that is disappointing.

Any alternative suggestions? The camera looks perfect but I'm sure potential buyers would like a count.

I'm not sure about your camera but what worked for me was to take a JPG picture and then read it in Preview (I use a MAC) and then within Preview open the image information window ( command + i). The shutter count is embeded in the EXIF data. To view EXIF data in Windows right-click on the photo in question and select “Properties”. Click on the “Details” tab and scroll down—you'll see all kinds of information about the camera used, settings etc.

Try this one for Sony: http://tools.science.si/

It worked for my a6000.

Worked perfectly on my Sony a6500 and newer a7RIII. Many thanks!
