Wife wanted a retaining wall.
So made one this weekend. First photo is before, second photo this afternoon.
The seat stones are from contractor damaged front steps. Weigh about 400 pounds each.
Love the tulips this year and the brilliant colours.
Note the pink ones in the middle were white with a red rim then a few days later turned all pink.
Never seen this before.

The photo of the wall was taken with a 7D and the 10-18mm STM.

Looks good. I like it but glad I didn't have to build it.

My mother's day gift to her and I will give her the credit for the idea.
I was just going to make a mow strip but she asked for it so I felt it would be a great mother's day gift.

Thank you.
Our resort and this past year a real sanctuary.
Spent the entire last summer in the yard grilling and swimming every day. I also worked at the bar in the gazebo.

Thanks to everyone.

My grandfather taught me how to build stone retaining walls as a youth.
I told the wife this is the last one, being nearly 70 and moving stones alone, some nearly 400 pounds, is getting hard on me.
