A stroll along a country lane in Cumbria England....

....Believe it or believe it not the lane that you see is for two way traffic and if two cars come from either way one of them has to give way by reversing until the driver finds a wider stretch of the lane.

Nice set, takes me back to visits long ago. I have a vague memory of striped posts at wide places and that the driver closest to the post was to give way?

Thanks Jim for the lovely, lovely photos of the English countryside. And yes those narrow country roads are two-lanes, reminds me of my last trip to the Lakes District. While driving 'round one of those corners with rock walls/hedges on either side, I encountered one of those front/rear dual wheeled tractors. With the left mirror of my rental car just inches from the rock wall, we did made a safe pass. One of the scarier moments while driving in the UK but overshadowed with such beautiful countryside....can't wait to make another trip since our trip was cancelled last year....Cheers
