Good morning from sunny Surrey. Spent yesterday in the garden apart from watching Prince Philip's funeral, which I thought was perfect. Spoke to gs1 and he is beginning to feel better and hopes to go home tomorrow.

More gardening planned for today.

Happy Sunday everyone and stay safe xxx

Glad he is feeling better. Hoping he returns home tomorrow as patients usually recover faster at home.

Good morning all from a gloriously sunny and mild London!!

I made two apple pies from my huge apple bounty, one for us and a bigger one for Matt, SIL, as it is his birthday tomorrow, will be shipping that over there in a short while together with a big jug of custard! Have just made him a card to go with it. He has got a tee-shirt gift as well!

I was quite proud of myself for taking two of the apples along to Jill, who was delighted with them!

Apart from that, nothing else planned but as it's such a nice day, I too may potter in the garden!!

Have a good one everybody, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Your SIL is lucky to have you bake for him. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฅง Be mindful of your back if you work in the garden.

My little corner of the world is cool and sunny. My excitement for today is laundry, dishes, and roombaing. Same chores I do every day plus mopping the kitchen floor. I finally found the roomba this a.m. It was under his desk. Seriously, he did not realize it was there?
Hoping everyone has a safe, fun, and enjoyable Sunday.

Good morning from sunny Surrey. Bought some plants yesterday so today is a gardening day. Had afternoon tea at DDs and saw their balcony they have just made. It gives them lovely views across the fields across to the lake.

Spoke to gs1 his op went fine but it will be a long recovery time because of the double break and kmee damage to his leg. I was told that had he not been wearing all the right gear it could have been so much worse.

Happy Saturday everyone and stay safe xxx

So glad he was wearing the correct gear

There are small clouds today. Yesterday was wall-to-wall blue sky with little or no wind and we sat for hours in DS1's garden just chilling. Best day so far this year. Now I am in strict self-isolation for 14 days ready for my op.

Hope your self isolation goes well, you can think back to yesterday when ever you want to be with people

You'll have to teach your roomba to bite his ankles when it's under there. xx

[quote=jinx]It was nice to see the brothers talking. Harry is loved in my little corner of the world and we are sad to see him separated from his family. I thought it was a sad tradition to leave the bereaved sit by themselves. There is probably a good reason for that tradition.[/quot

Hi jinx! Not a tradition, socially distancing because of Covid, they are setting us an example!!! Xxxx

Hello girls, I'm a bit later tonight. I'm at Stephens and staying over. He's just had a reaction with his jab. The sweat is pouring off him and got a bad head. Not a happy chappy at all. So.....no groceries..and that's fine...ill call for some at Asda on my way home. I can't see him making it to work tomorrow. He can fight the world in bed, but when he gets up ...wow.....

We've had pizza today for tea. I'm not a lover of it, but I suppose they do t like what I like to eat. One piece does me. I called in to see Albert on my way up here and removed the dead flowers. A few mins chat, a bit one sided...

I'm going to catch up now then do some jigsaws. Love yawl. Stay safe....xx

It's not a tradition jinx, it's all to do with social distancing....she did look so lonely didn't she. She looked frail, which she doesn't usually. The family were in separate households to stay safe, but the guards (700) of them weren't social distancing though! Well, I suppose they couldn't play their instruments with a mask on.

Thanks. Leave it to my news station to give the wrong information. Are there a lot of people over there refusing the vaccinations?

I do enjoy the news and watch it at least once a day. But sometimes they talk about things that I know nothing about. I don't understand a word they're talking about. I don't think I'm too thick in my head but just sometimes I'm purely lost.....am I the only one?

No Susan, you aren't the only one to get lost in the News! I often get lost in the news here, because most of the time we are getting the news from one of the other states, and it makes no sense to me at all! xx

I've lost almost 3 stone..
37lbs in 2 months, seeing this result I don't care anymore how nauseous that med makes me. He still won't give me anti nausea pills. But I found a weird combo that works for me.. clementines and crackers. . . Strange right? I crave these little oranges. That's mostly my meals with an occasional piece of chicken lol.
But I'm not suffering or anything. It could always be worse and at least the pounds are coming off and the night sweats are not as bad. Woot woot. ๐Ÿ˜€
Love and hugs y'all

Most people so far have accepted the vaccine, but a lot of the people of ethnic origin won't have it, unfortunately a lot of them work in our care homes which is not helping matters. xx
