Race was held Saturday, April 17 in Madras Oregon. Racers competed in category 3, 2, 1, or elite divisions. Cat 3 raced approximately 8 miles, cat 2 about 12 miles and cat 1 and elite raced approximately 16 miles. The actual distance raced was variable as on two portions of the course riders were allowed to chose a shorter line that had jumps and other obstructions or a longer, safer line. Only cat 1 and elite riders were allowed to chose the line that had the biggest jump on it.

Nice work, I never shot this kind of race. Looks interesting with lots of image chances.

It's pretty interesting. The only hard part is that it requires a lot of walking. The course was four miles around and in order to get different pictures I had to get to as much of the course as possible.

I think at my age that's a lot of walking. I would prefer to grab an interesting outlook and shoot some. 75 yrs. old I am lucky to walk from my car to the ball field with my equipment lol.

I'm only 65, and I'm still doing fine. Hope I's still taking photos as good as yours at your age.
