And some people misinterpret what others say and make inaccurate comments. I'm guessing "Wallen" assumed I was "looking down" on your equipment, which absolutely couldn't be farther from correct. The OP said they never had a mirrorless camera only 2 bridge cameras. I said the two bridge cameras are in fact, mirrorless cameras. They are mirrorless cameras, just not Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Cameras, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. There are actually some bridge cameras that out perform and cost more than many MILC'S. I know this because I own several expensive DSLR'S and MILC'S and a few Bridge cameras that I'm quite fond of and use often. I am looking to get a superzoom and the P900, P950 and P1000 are on my short list, depending on availability; I'm looking for a factory refurb.
You may have noticed I refer to my cameras and photo stuff as toys. That's because they are just that, my toys, and photography is one of my hobbies; it can be lots of fun. I hope you have lots of fun with your photography, and enjoy posting your photos here on UHH. Again, welcome to the UHH.

Whoa hold on there, Don't kill the messenger.
I'm not referring to anything specific and definitely not after you nor anyone in particular. I have not even read your reply when I composed mine. When I read the OPs lines, there was no other post yet. It's a general thought as many threads has been about new tools sooooo much better than the previous ones. Just giving a heads up for the OP that when it comes to toys, UHH can be a mean place.
I myself is contented with old equipment if they still serve the need.
Check this out; At that time, its an 11 year old D90 and a cel phone for lighting;

I believe in boyscouts, knights and unicorns. So definitely not my cup of tea bro. I don't fan the flame and only reply mean tit for tat

Tools matter, they have their place in the equation.
But I believe Skill transcends tools.
And as I've said before;
What matters is that one enjoy the hobby and is happy with what he got.

Hello Hedgehoggers!
I'm Tom, native of central Penna. Have taken photos since 5 yrs. old. Started on a "brownie" 12 exp. BnW no flash cheapie. I have never owned a DSLR or mirrorless camera, and dont even own a smart phone or a television set. I've shot approx. 21,000 photos in the past 5-6 years (mostly practice). Oh, I did own 2 35mm cameras, but both drowned when I fell into rivers while fishin/takin pix. ;)
I now shoot exclusively with 2 digital bridge cameras; a Fugifilm FinePix w/50X optical zoom, and a Nikon CoolPix P900 w/83X optical plus digital zoom beyond that. I know little of stuff like mm's, extenders, holograms, ISO etc. What I DO know is that these cameras are well suited for what I do, and I think they are the greatest invention since the microwave oven! LoL
I like wildlife, Nature and landscapes, and God provides me with incredible/awesome opportunities almost weekly. I'm told I have a good eye for composition, but I do very little editing except some cropping with just the photo-edit program that came on my Windows 10 laptop. I hope to attach some random shots here. Y'all seem like a great bunch of people! Hope ya like. Comment/criticisms are welcome. Sorry so long winded. Thanks, Tom

Great photos, you have some beautiful country to capture, my Brother-in-law lives in Trout Run and I enjoy shooting photos when I visit him.
