CSX 5107 - the W. Thomas Rice Special

A few days ago, I took some shots of a long train as it approached a crossing. Being curious, I looked it up and found out that it was named for W. Thomas Rice who was a co-founder of CSX.

Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful colors on this engine. Trains are far more colorful than in the past.

Thanks Carol - I'm glad you liked it. The colors were what caught my eye and aroused my curiosity.

Great shots. Curving track always provides wonderful opportunities. But where did you see the name?

Thanks Clark - glad you liked them. I just searched on the Engine number, and found a lot of posts about this train and W. Thomas Rice.

Thanks John - I appreciate both of your comments. This was the first time I've done some train shots in a very long time, and it was fun. The only downside is unless you get lucky, you end waiting around awhile for the next one to come through.
