Durasngo-Silverton Narrow Gauge - 1990

Doing some more digging around in files of film converted to digital. A little cleaning up with Photoshop, adding sky for contrast and we see two of the Durango-Silverton engines poised for pulling in 1990.

Let me add that I do my conversions with a 20 mp Wolverine scanner I bought several years ago. I remain happy with it.

Pat, I first rode that line in 1957 when it was still part of the Denver & Rio Grande Western. At the time, the three-foot-gauge track ran all the way from Silverton in the north through Durango, Alamosa and Antonito to Chama. The tracks between Durango and Antonito were removed in 1964.
