Roku Remote - Help!

I got a new remote for Roku, but I can't get it working. It came without instructions, and from what I see online, I'm supposed to push a button in or near the battery compartment. This one doesn't have a button. Any ideas?

Take the battery cover off and look for a very small button on the lower right (below the batteries).

The button you're looking for could also be under a tiny hole inside the battery compartment. Press a bent paper clip through the hole to activate the button.

I just found this online. Unfortunately, it does not work. I unplugged everything, plugged it in again - no good.

So is your ROKU device an infrared or Bluetooth interface? Does it have an IR “window”? Two of mine are Bluetooth and just plug into USB ports on the back of the TV and look like a thumb drive. The other two, which are IR look like a pack of cigarettes and attach to the TV via a USB cable. If you go into the setup menu, and do a complete system reset, it should look for the remote. BTW, when pairing, the batteries must be absolutely fresh (new) - at least that has been mine (and others) experience.

Could it be that it’s an IR remote, but a Bluetooth receiver? The main setup menu should tell as well as the physical size of the receiver.
