Your photo is super! I don't think the tree is a Red Maple. I have Red Maples on my property. In summer the leaves are green and there are small flowers that are not a showy and pink as are yours.

If the shot was close enough, that's the flower detail you would see. I live in the mountains of Central Pennsylvania, and there are thousands of them blooming right now( including on my property) and they are VERY showy!
Dean appears to be on the right path. Your tree is Cercis canadensis (Red Bud Tree) it has showy pink flowers as shown in your picture. Acer rubrum (Red Maple) is quite different and is a much larger tree. Acer is the genus of Maples. The flowers on the red maple are not at all showy as the flowers in your picture.
