So help me understand: Some staff-member at a Nursing Home, where the elderly and potentially already ill are crowded together, refused to: 1. Follow the Rules, 2. Take a test to ensure they could not/would not pass a potentially life-threatening disease on to their wards, 3. Evidently made a fuss about it!.

A rational person would look at what has occurred in nursing homes in other locations (e.g. New York, USA) and DEMAND even stricter testing, as well as MANDATORY C***d v******tion proof.

Like hell, it is, if my mother was in a nursing home I would want

the caregivers to be tested every damn day.

We should HOPE they are (mandatorily) wearing masks.

Mask-wearing as well as washing, sanitizing and as much physical isolation as possible are helpful.
These are all procedures that HELP reduce the incidence of disease.

Not just for SARS C***d v***ses, but other t***smissible disease vectors as well, e.g. Flu, smallpox, measles, mumps, rubella, AIDS, . . . .

And not just in nursing homes—although many folks evidently do not think these precautions necessary.

This is just a different world one ruled by fear and not by logic and common sense.

Yes, but the elderly are our most vulnerable, we need to use maximum care and protection in their presence. I am not a big one for masks either, don't mind the requirement while shopping but think it ridiculous that they are worn in many HS sports such as tennis or track, probably a bigger health problem created by wearing them than not in those situations. Nursing homes are different.
